About Us
The Celebrate The Night(CTN) event is in honor of National Coming Out Day,
and is an annual event committed to "Celebrating" women through the forum of a
variety show and DJ dance. The CTN event also helps to promote the visibility of
our community's performers, comprised of both amateur and professional artisans.
CTN affords the Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Transgender (LGBT) community and LGBT friendly
businesses /organizations the opportunity to promote themselves, and to share their
information with the community through performance, education, sales and networking.
The CTN Board, Committee, Assistants and performers are all comprised of 100% volunteers.
Matching this effort are the numerous and generous sponsors from the surrounding community
which allows CTN to offer proceeds to the GLCC of Squirrel Hill.
CTN's Mission Statement
MISSION: The mission of Celebrate The Night (CTN) is to produce an event that promotes
the 'CELEBRATION" of women, in honor of National Coming Out Day.
GOAL: Our goal is to honor women via song, dance, spoken word, comedy, music or any other
form of entertainment, that "CELEBRATES" women.
COMMUNITY: While CTN performers consist of women, we encourage everyone from the
GLBT community, and their family and friends, to join in the CELEBRATION!!
For the purpose of this event, if a person is legally recognized as
a woman or living full-time as a woman, she is a woman.
PROCEEDS: In the course of producing this event, fundraising becomes a by-product of our
endeavor, so through our efforts, we are able to donate proceeds, above and beyond operating
costs, to The Gay and Lesbian Community Center, GLCC.
